Groupon planned to launch their first national television campaign since 2011, and their agency of record, O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul, needed to add to their successful “Haves vs Have Dones” commercial for a Groupon to Go test market running in Denver, Colorado. Explore Media was asked to bid on the project and was awarded in August, 2016. We were able to add to the killer visuals already in the first 10 seconds of their campaign by producing the millenial & family take-out shots, the Groupon to Go delivery shots, and the overhead tabletop food shots. We don't know about you but YUMMY!
With only 5 days from being awarded the project to production, director Jeremy Pinckert and the EM team were able to put together a rock-star crew for a full commercial scale production complete with casting, art direction, props and food styling.
OKRP’s Chief Creative Officer, Matt Reinhard, opened up his house in Evanston for the production and his black lab pup made us feel right at home. The production itself included lifestyle scenes with a family enjoying dinner via takeout and an energetic workplace delivery scene. In addition to shooting most scenes with a RED 4K Camera, we also captured action shots using DJI's new OSMO to showcase Groupon’s fast bike delivery service.
