ILYA POLYAKOV

Ilya Polyakov (pronounced Ill-ee-ah Poly-Ah-Kauv) is a Ukrainian-born, Connecticut-raised, Boston-educated, Los Angeles transplant. Directing film & TV since 2009, he is best known for his work on the sketch comedy TV show, Betch. He loves to make stuff. Furniture, friends, progress. But he especially loves motion pictures. Why? Because there’s nothing quite like that feeling: The goosebumps he gets when an actor loses themselves in the moment. When the crew moves as one. When the whole universe feels as though it’s conspiring with him to capture the perfect shot. When he catches that wave… well, for an instant, everything seems just right.
