Explore Awarded Two Tellys In 2020 Competition

Explore, a Chicago-based commercial production company creating award-winning commercials & digital content for advertisers, was recently awarded two Telly trophies in the annual competition.  To read the entire press release click here.

“Stubborn Camper” won a Silver Telly in the Travel & Tourism online commercial category. The :60 online spot was produced by Explore for Go RVing and was written & directed by Brendan Beachman. The ad features a comedic take on the comforts of RVing vs. camping in tents.  RVs have been at the forefront of news this summer travel season as consumers look for ways to safely vacation with the realities of Covid-19.  The advertisement, specifically targeted to the online market, has been garnering rave reviews since first broadcasting in early 2020.

“One Big Difference” won a Bronze Telly Award in the Banking commercial category. The :30 broadcast spot advertises the big bank amenities, yet the still neighborhood feel of 1st Source Bank.  Created / written by Dan Consiglio of The Specialists and directed by Jeremy Pinckert, the spot features an oddball collection of cell phone users conducting online banking in humorous scenarios.  The advertisement was distributed through broadcast channels and :15 cut downs were also broadcast digitally.

“The Telly Awards have always been a benchmark for our productions over the years,” says Explore’s executive producer Jeremy Pinckert. “We aspire to create a level of storytelling worthy of awards like the Tellys in all our productions, and when all of our goals align to actually be honored by these prestigious awards, it’s a special, special achievement for our team.”

ONE BIG DIFFERENCE
Seriously when do you get to have this much fun with bathrobes, leg warmers, and distraught hipsters on a broadcast spot? Thanks to the amazing creative from The Specialists, we did! This comedic ad was produced by Explore Media and Directed by Jeremy Pinckert with a simple directive - none of the first 3 characters would ever be a customer of 1st Source Bank, so be as odd and zany as you please! We did just that, working with the amazing art design of Caton Volk, the expert cinematography of Jamieson Mulholland, and what would become it's own character - the color by Ron Sudal of Nice Shoes.
