Eli Lilly & Sapient Razorfish Choose Explore to Produce 40+ Spots in 2-Day Shoot

THE PROBLEM

We work with agencies on projects for clients like Eli Lilly, and Sapient Razorfish’s creative called for telling the stories of people who live with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and their successful RA Edge support group. They also wanted to use a creative device where we show the process of body painting expressions of hope on the parts of their bodies where they feel RA’s pain the most. The finished body art is a testament to their courage and their triumphs.

THE SOLUTION

We found a location in an old church in San Antonio, where 9 people who live with RA were congregated for an Eli Lilly event. Using a local body paint artist whom we vetted, Explore produced a two-day shoot filled with interviews of the 9 RA Subjects, but this was no ordinary interview …. they all took place while the they were also being painted. Using our experience empathizing with real people, we were able to elicit the honest, emotional stories from the talent that Eli Lilly was looking for to communicate their message of hope.

THE DELIVERY

Sapient Razorfish was able to leverage the footage we captured into not only a highly successful :60 Anthem campaign for Eli Lilly, but in addition we edited, colored and finished over 40 digital assets they then were able to release in a coordinated, strategic release schedule over the course of two years!

A brand lives with a commercial advertising campaign forever, so let’s make sure you not only like the finished spots, but you also like how they work for your brand’s strategic goals.

2. Outline a Brand’s Strategic Goals, Audience, and Deliverables

As internal agencies and marketing departments, you know the message you want to get across. You have an idea for what works, and you have the experience to know the story you want to tell. Our job? To simply help you produce and amplify that message! Adapt, mix and match, suggest, we don’t charge hourly so run wild. At Explore we like to say we live with the project for a few weeks, but a brand lives with a commercial advertising campaign forever, so let’s make sure you not only like the finished broadcast spots & digital ads, but you also like how they work for your brand.

3. Partner with Internal Agencies and Outside Creative Directors / Copywriters

You may have a creative director and art director in house with a deck that is approved by the uppers and ready to be produced. Or you may need some outside help to come up with a creative brief. We’ve got your back for both scenarios! If you do need creative, we can bring in agency veteran creative directors with the experience of campaigns of all sizes. We partner with internal marketing teams and seasoned ad agency creative directors to come up with multiple options presented in fancy decks just like an agency, and then they write, present, re-write, present, and ultimately you award the strategic storytelling your brand loves!

Hopefully this quick read has helped shed light on how Explore Media can work with your Brand’s internal agency or marketing department directly, without all the markup. Our model is designed to give brands the option of working directly with a national-broadcast-quality production company and directors to get ad-agency level commercials + digital content for a lot less time, investment and overhead.

Plus we have the bandwidth to deliver multiple assets for larger brands by planning and shooting projects utilizing many situations that can be used across one or several campaigns, with broadcast and/or digital versions, different formats for social media, and even stills for OOH, website and digital advertising.
