“Scoperta! The Opera” Says Cheers to a Telly Win for Explore

We are thrilled to announce that commercial production company Explore, has been honored with a Telly Award for "Scoperta! The Opera."  The project aimed to introduce the first-ever direct-to-consumer e-commerce marketplace for wine, allowing curious wine enthusiasts to discover new favorites. An elaborate cast of characters and elevated comedic concept to deliver on the brand’s promise of wine discovery made simple.

Explore took on the complete production of "The Opera", from creative concepting with Scoperta’s consulting agency, Prophet, to producing the production and post-production, to finishing, coloring and exporting the final product for delivery. Scoperta needed to attract young wine lovers frustrated by the current buyer experience.

The creative leaned into the brand's charm, wit, and audacious name to develop and orchestrate a modern campaign to connect with a new wave of discerning wine buyers and create brand recognition.

Scoperta! The Opera

Director Jeremy Pinckert and Producer Damian Huck joined the team from the project's inception to shape the creative vision, working with a preliminary script and drawing inspiration from "The Marriage of Figaro" for the musical score. 

The "Scoperta: The Opera" campaign not only raised awareness for small wineries but also promoted a more sustainable and direct connection between consumers and winemakers. Through this unique platform, wine enthusiasts can now embark on a journey of discovery, exploring the vast array of flavors and stories behind each bottle. Explore founder and Executive Producer Jeremy Pinckert stated simply that, “This was one of the most unique and rewarding projects we’ve had the opportunity to produce at Explore. Think of creating a music video for an Opera, that also sells wine. Bravo!”
